Match context
Spain ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Saudi Arabia in a one-sided 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage clash. La Roja were rampant from the start: Lamine Yamal struck early in the 11th minute before Mikel Oyarzabal turned the game into a procession with a clinical brace in the space of three minutes (21' and 24') to send Spain in 3-0 up at the break.
The Green Falcons could find no way back after the restart, and their afternoon got worse when Altambakti turned the ball into his own net in the 49th minute to make it 4-0. Saudi Arabia's frustration showed in a pair of bookings - Salem Al-Dawsari on 30 minutes and Kanno on the hour - as Spain controlled proceedings throughout.
Ferran Torres thought he had added a fifth deep into stoppage time in the 90+6th minute, but his effort was disallowed. The result caps a dominant, comprehensive victory for Spain.
